Every Child Wild Campaign - John Ferguson

I'm very fortunate to worked alongside the good people at the Suffolk Wildlife trust, and have done so for a number of years now, producing imagery the aims to give the trust a more 'human face'. My briefs are has varied so they are interesting, with no two jobs the same. The Trust have 52 diverse and unique sites throughout the beautiful county of Suffolk and a host of actives throughout the year. From staff members, supporters, to the Trust's invaluable volunteer members, I'm tasked with providing new and fresh images for their brochures, websites, campaigns and other promotional initiatives that the Trust need to run throughout the year.

I love meeting the diverse range of people working with the Trust. Such great stories and tales from everyone I've been luck enough to meet. From the full-time staff members to the many volunteers. One of Suffolk Wildlife Trust's great strengths is their network of community volunteers who represent the Trust in their particular part of Suffolk. These volunteers also co-ordinate with the local Wildlife Groups. The groups organise a wide range of wildlife and fundraising activities at community venues and local wildlife sites all year round, to celebrate Suffolk's wildlife and countryside and encourage more support for the Trust.

I was recently commissioned to produce a series of environmental portraits of local Suffolk residents who were invited to share their memories of growing up wild in Suffolk as part of a project to record an important part of the living heritage of the county. The project will create a memory bank of people’s childhood experiences of nature in the counties surrounding countryside, with it's aim to inspire families to spend more time in nature.
